Initial stage of the Project divided into 4 main parts:
FUNDS – SOUND LIBRARY – “STORYBOARD” – EXHIBITION

1) Funds – To Do:
1. Draft proposal (summarized and detailed) to be sent to sponsors – Sam & Wen Xun
2. Email Sam Word Document of proposal submitted to school – Melvin
3. Share drafted proposal with the rest of the team
4. Email proposal to targeted sponsors by this week – Sam
- Heard from others teams Lee Foundation is supportive
The team needs to have an estimated idea of how much funds we can have by next week so that we can have a rough idea of how large-scale can make the project and divide the sum accordingly. As mentioned, at least $5000.

2) Sound Library – To Do:
1. List sound all the sound needed for recording – on next meeting
2. Borrow the equipment needed for recording
- detailed list to be review by next week (check with STA)
3. Find out the availability of microphones that record underwater
4. Find out how we can hire a boat to go out to the sea to record oceanic sounds; motor boats sounds, wind, etc.
- Sam may be able to get someone who owns a yacht
5. Inform dolphin lagoon about our project and seek their advice on how we can go down to the actual site to record

3) “Storyboard” – To Do:
1. Continue reading up online articles on dolphin cruelty (research)
- Have one day early next week where team can spend time together for this
2. Do an analysis on the YouTube video and observe how it uses sound to evoke our emotions and when it uses visuals
- What can we do to make up for the missing visuals? (sound can’t show blood)
- How can we include instruments (e.g. strings)
- How does it make up picture, as clearly as possible, the actual event in our heads
3. Come up with a definitive sequence and duration* for the entire piece and their each event from underwater to above, to dolphins getting fished out of the water to being dragged out to the hangers
- Research on the severity of the cruelty against dolphins
- Research on what makes sound designer effective to convey point above
- Use YouTube video as reference
*duration has to also depend on the space and equipment available

4) Exhibition – To Do (later stage of project):
1. Come up with a “blue print” of the exhibition space
- need to work storyboard
2. Confirm location and duration we can build space in school
3. Find contractor to construct space
4. Experiment and research using equipment to see the best way we can portray the “storyboard” with the sounds from the sound library in the space constructed for it
