Today’s session is a continuation to the aural post productions. Jon and wenxun looked into the sequencing of sounds from clanging of the rods to dolphin whistles. Experimentation of different effects for the rods and dolphin whistles were being tried out to blend in with the sea ambience. Volume balancing were also being tried out to achieve the best effect out of it. Apart from this, ryan and Jon design the above water to sea water transitions and also working on the contrast between already made sea ambience compared to the above sea air sound.

Sam and Melvin is on the recording side, managed to get Daryl as voiceover for some Japanese dialogues by the fishermen. Sam is guiding Daryl on the script and Melvin is on the technical side. The overall recording session was good though it was quite tough in coordinating in certain scenes.

After Voice over session, Sam and Melvin went to the E3 exhibition hall to meet up with Chuan.Also, together with Alex who is guiding them how to deal with the lightings as they do not have much knowledge on it. Checked out the deolights,red heads and kinoflo and they have experiment with the lightings with the color gels.
The effects that was given off was pretty much to what we all have wanted it to be. Chuan had later on suggested to us that we can use the ceiling lightings which our team had also suggested earlier. Let’s hope we can get the equipments we need from Help-Estate!! The initial lighting blueprint and equipments that was suggested will no longer be effective in this plan. We had also asked the STA lab people on how far the casio projectors is able to reflect and whether will it be too glaring for people who was walking about in the hall. Thank goodness, they said it wont be able to affect them since the projectors are being considered to be placed at 4 sides of the corners in the room , on the floor though. The purpose of the casio project is supposed to replaced the characteristics of what the martin mac 700 is able provide. We are basically going to use a water ripple animation to flash it over the casio projectors across the walls so as to allow the water ripples to printed on the walls virtually.

After the trial out session, we returned the equipments back to STA lab and went forth vista to continue with our meeting. In this meeting, we had talked about the dates and time for our exhibition to take place. It was when sam and vennon had communicate over sms to discuss about the timings and dates that the 2 teams wanted. Apart from that Melvin had also updated the team on some logistics stuffs that he had discussed with the STA lab people. The equipments that we will need for our exhibition. Sam had also talked about how is the advertisements is coming along the way, suggested on which ads should we be using and also the team gave some suggestions on which medium and channel of advertising should we be approaching. Guerilla advertising is what we had chosen to go forth.

The emails to STA labs and OES were also being discussed in the midst of the meetings. We had finalise the stuffs that we needed and emails were being drafted out by sam and mel on the request we all had made.
