closeure of exhibition

the event was considered a success… I am satisfied with that

with around 60 odd people attended.

event took place for 2 days, 11 july & 12 july.

anww….

permission granted for use of various dolphin clips apart from the NUS clips.

proper video was recorded with the Video Cam and some funny scene (cause i recorded it… muhahaha)

video will be uploaded once mel rip them.

last one who visited – varian (facilitator)..

most supportive – Aiden (DSA yr 3), went for the exhibition for 4 times or 3.

what is left is only the wooden planks.

last word, ppl please be there for monday’s first break and second break to help finish the “set-down” of the place. no last minute thing like what happened on friday, when some one need to be off for 45mins when we are all rushing for time. thanks….

Latest updates from the space, logistic and equipment side

Hey team, 

Just to keep you guys in the loop of what is the latest updates from the space, logistic and equipment side. 

Space

At the moment, the E3 Exhibition Hall space request is still processing.

Good news is that we stand a higher chance in getting the space as further negotiations is under way with other interest group using the space. For more details, please refer to school web mail, FW: Exhibition Hall for STA FYP.

I have dropped Ee Shaun an email to enquire whether he has the dimensions of the hall as what Damien have suggested. Hopefully, we might be able to get a reply from him tomorrow.

Equipments

I have managed to meet up with the HelpSTA people earlier in the day to clarify whether our equipment going to be fully utilized on our proposed dates. 

Good news is that we can get 6 L1 Bose Speakers, 4 Active Speakers and the necessary cables.

Bad news is that, we might not be able to get the 4 Apple Cinema display Screens for our installation. We might need to consider other alternatives.

In addition is that we can only get the equipment on the 9th July instead of the 7th July. So in other ways we only have 2 days, the 9th and 10th July to set up and trouble shoot the equipments and the whole installation. Ps, we might need to skip Thursday class to work on our installation.

Logistic 

All the equipments we are going to use for the installation, we will have to move ourselves, as there is no manpower provided in assisting us. 

Instead of using approaching OES for PP divider board, tables, cushion benches/sofa, Damien suggested using what STA could provide us. 

An alternative for the PP divider board will be DTA wooden planks and octapols.

 

1)The wooden plank we have in STA is measuring 6m tall and 4m wide and with thickness range 6mm, 9mm, 12mm.

2) The octapols are the two sliver metallic poles holding the wooden planks. They are 2m tall but can be extend to 3m too.

 

- The sofas we can get are the one is the Vista lab one.

- The tables are to be confirmed again.
